John Welsh and Thomas Mann and his part of Civil War from Union and Confederation. John Welsh and Thomas Mann were childhood friends in Richmond, Va when Thomas (19) become late teenager, and his family moved to Washington, DC due to lost his father, (won't tell you that story, hee hee) 

General Robert Lee befriended with John Welsh in the Army, because he was a flag boy.
